Secluded Tahoe Cabin for Rent

Situated on the Upper Truckee River near Meyers, CA this secluded cabin is what you're looking for if you want an escape. It's a 3-5 hour drive from the Bay Area as is all of Tahoe, but if you fly it's about an hour depending on your plane. To make it really easy for pilots, I've left a Suburban at the South Lake Tahoe Airport and the FBO has the keys. Fly in to South Lake, borrow the car and enjoy some relaxation in the Tahoe wilderness. The Meyers grocery store is between the airport and the cabin so stop there for groceries on your way. Meyers has a few fun little restaurants, but not much night-life. If you're in the mood for that head to Stateline (20 min drive).

Situated on 10 acres, with National Forest land on one side, and the Upper Truckee River on the other, this place is secluded but not isolated. A couple of neighbors here and there along the road. If you don't make too much noise you'll never know they're there.

Comforts and Ammenities

The house has a washer/dryer, central heating and a wood burning fireplace situated between the living room and the kitchen.

The kitchen has a gas oven and a gas range as well as a dishwasher and microwave. My wife and I love to cook and it's been a fine kitchen to work in.

There is good cable internet provided by Spectrum (Charter). I've tested it and seen download speeds of 100 - 200 Mbps and upload speeds between 10 and 20 Mbps. In short, good enough internet if you're working from home or your children need to join an online school session.

Terms

Rental rate is $400/night with a two night minimum and a $150 cleaning fee. Longer term rental rates are negotiable. 25% of rental rate is due upon making a reservation and 100% is due before you arrive. I take Paypal or Venmo. If you want to pay some other way let me know.

Cancellations are 100% refundable if I'm notified 48hrs or more before check-in date. If it's a cancelation of a VFR pilot due to IFR conditions it's 100% refundable because I don't like giving people the gotta-get-there's, but I must be notified immediately.

I'm not putting this on AirBnB because I don't want some random stranger thrashing the place. I'd rather forfeit some money but have the place well taken care of. When you visit please be respectful of the house and the neighbors. The pilot community is really small... don't be a jerk.
